Rich and lively colours such as greenish lemon, muted orange or sultry red, to name a few, promise to add a captivating vibe to upcoming Autumn/Winter fashion collections, according to the Pantone Color Institute.

Pantone, the global authority on colour and provider of professional colour standards for the design industries, recently released the Pantone® Fashion Color Trend Report Autumn/Winter 2025/2026 edition for the New York Fashion Week.

According to the institute, Autumn/Winter 2025/2026 colours are a rich variety of hues imbued with a poetic nuance, creating a blend of casual relaxation with subtle elegance.

“A lively colour dialogue between well-known, traditional neutrals and dynamic, bold and deep seasonal hues creates drama, steering a new path that encourages us to embark on a personal path of creativity and explore what speaks to us. Intertwining familiar shades with those expressing hope for the future, colours for Autumn/Winter 2025/2026 offer a path toward authenticity and meaningful living,” the institute said.

This season’s report features top 10 standout colours as well as five new core classics that will most likely figure in fashion designers’ latest collections.

The colour palettes are Lemon Grass, which Pantone described as “lemon infused green”; Brandied Melon, a muted orange hue with a “subtle spice” hue; Lyons Blue, a deeply tinted teal; the intense purple Damson; the “softly delicate” Primrose Pink; Winterberry, with a “sultry red” hue; Hot Chocolate, which summons thoughts of decadent indulgence and deliciousness; the “vital and robust red” of Chili Oil; Poppy Red, with a “spirited true red” hue; and Bronze Brown, with a “lustrous golden brown” hue.

The five new classics, meanwhile, are Bright White, with an “optical white” hue; French Roast, with a strong, full-bodied brown colour; the “hazy blue hue” of Vapor Blue; Crown Blue, with a “dependable, constant and ever-faithful classic” blue hue; and Mauve Wine, which is imbued with natural grace and beauty.

In the jewellery sector, a rich assortment of coloured gemstones and fancy colour diamonds bear these fascinating colours, including teal sapphires, mandarin garnets and rubies, as well as amethyst stones, purple sapphires and fire opals, among others. Tiger's eye, brown diamonds and smoky and lemon quartzes also infuse jewellery designs with a lustrous, earthy tone.
