Famous Jewelries of TV Series /Movies

Estimate Reading Time: 3 min

Most television shows and movies leave a long-lasting impact on the viewers, remembered for their plots and characters. In addition, the props, costumes, locations, and accessories also add to the story and create the required feel a viewer gets while watching the series or movie.

The small details such as jewelry can complete the whole look, making most shows and movies more memorable. You would probably recall some of the famous jewelry you noticed while watching the actors and the story taking place. Some pieces of jewelry that are still popular years after the end of the shows and movies are the One Ring from The Lord of the Rings, Hurrem Sultan’s ring, the Heart of the Ocean from Titanic, and many more.

The Lord of the Rings: the One Ring

This ring originally was created by a New Zealand jeweler named Jens Hansen. It could be the most well-known ring, iconic even to this day. The Lord of the Rings movie series ended in 2003, but the ring is one of the most important fictional jewelry pieces.

Made from tungsten carbide plated with gold, this ring can be purchased from Jens Hansen with the exact thickness, shape, material, and sizes. It is stated that the price of the ring comes between dollar 50,000 to 80,000.

Pretty Woman: the Ruby Necklace

Julia Roberts’ character in Pretty Woman wore the stunning Ruby necklace given by Richard Gere’s character. This jewelry is created by Fred Joaillier, a French jeweler, with 23 pear-cut rubies in diamond hearts. The fans and viewers are still mesmerised by the 1.35-million-dollar necklace.

Replicas of the famous Ruby Necklace can be found in several online stores for less than 50 dollars.

Titanic: the Heart of the Ocean

Worn by Kate Winslet’s character in the famous movie Titanic, the Heart of the Ocean is a diamond cut into a heart shape in the eighteenth century. Initially owned by Louis XVI, the heart-shaped diamond necklace was dropped into the ocean by old Rose in the movie. This drop symbolised her passion for love and life.

This famous piece is replicated by many. The most popular replication, made by Asprey & Garrand, was worn by Celine Dion in the 1998 Academy Awards, which was later auctioned off for 1.4 million dollars for charity. The copies of one of the most popular jewelry types are sold for between 25 to 5000 dollars.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days: the Isadora Necklace

It is the most expensive neck jewelry piece worn in a movie. Worn by Kate Hudson, the necklace is worth around 5 million dollars and is a stunning yellow 84-carat diamond. It was explicitly designed by Harry Winston for Kate Hudson to wear during the movie shooting.

Replicas can be found online, and Emitations designs and produces the necklace.

The Sacred Ring of Sultan Suleiman: Hurrem Sultan’s Ring

The ring made Roxelana the most powerful woman in the Ottoman Empire. In the movie, The Sacred Ring of Sultan Suleiman, this ring was given to her by Sultan Suleiman, who married her while breaking the tradition.

The ring replicas can be bought for around 8-10 dollars online.
