Turkey produces 250 - 300 tons of gold jewellery products and exports for USD 1.7 billion annually. In fact, the sector has the processing capacity of 400 tons of gold, 300 tons of silver and USD 1.2 billion of diamonds, and employs 300,000 people. It also produces more than 250 tons of jewellery and exports half of the production worldwide.
